Transform Your Collagen This Holiday

DeepMarine is Jazzing Up Your Holiday Treats

It seems like everything is festive and sparkling this time of year. Why not treat yourself to festive goodies jazzed up with super foods and Canadian marine collagen? You’ll enjoy all the festivity with none of the guilt of sugar-laden, empty-calorie treats.

And while these nutrient-rich treats are a great way to start your day or pick up your mid-afternoon slump, many people find that DeepMarine collagen before bed helps them sleep.  So curl up in front of the fire and enjoy a bedtime treat. Remember, Santa knows when you’re awake….

In fact, leave Santa a DM collagen-boosted treat instead of milk and cookies. Mrs. Claus will thank you.

Eggnog

A collagen boost to a classic holiday drink. Optional rum, brandy, or bourbon adds a festive kick.

1-2 scoops DeepMarine collagen

1/3 cups milk

A pinch of ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 egg yolk

1/8 cup sugar

(Optional) 1 shot rum, brandy, or bourbon

1/3 cup light cream

1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions:

Mix milk, cloves, vanilla, and cinnamon in a saucepan over low heat and slowly bring to a boil.

Whisk together egg yolk and sugar, and then slowly whisk into milk mixture. Stir over medium heat about 3 minutes until mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and cool for about an hour

Stir in DeepMarine, cream, nutmeg and optional liquor.

For best flavor, refrigerate overnight before serving.

Nutty Granola

Breakfast with protein, antioxidants, and DM’s all-Canadian collagen to kick-start your holiday shopping.

1-2 scoops DeepMarine

3 cups rolled oats

2 cups of your favorite nuts, chopped

1 cup dried blueberries, cranberries, or raisins

3/4 cup shredded, sweetened coconut

1/4 cup dark brown sugar

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/4 cup vegetable oil

3/4 tsp salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.

In a large bowl, combine oats, sugar, nuts, and coconut.

In a small bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt. Pour into oat mixture; mix to combine.

Pour mixture onto sheet pans, spread flat. Cook for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Spoon into a large bowl, add fruit, and mix well.

Mix DeepMarine into your milk. Serve over a scoop of granola.

Store remainder in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Super-Powered Avocado Toast

The smooth taste and texture of avocado is the perfect partner for DeepMarine collagen and is packed with nutrients and good fatty acids. Add nuts and pomegranate seeds for a super-food boost that looks as festive as it tastes.

1-2 scoops DeepMarine

A nice crusty French loaf

2 large avocados

1/4 cup walnut pieces or toasted pine nuts

1/2 cup pomegranate seeds

juice of 1 lime

salt and pepper to taste

(Optional toppings) chopped cilantro, green onions, or goat cheese

Directions:

Scoop avocado flesh into a bowl. Discard pits. Mix in DeepMarine and lime juice. Add salt and pepper to taste. Mix and mash until smooth with some chunks. Gently fold in nuts and pomegranate seeds.

Toast bread. Spread avocado mixture over toasted bread. Top with optional toppings if desired. For extra nutrients and fiber (and a fantastic crunch), spread over shredded carrots or red cabbage.

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie with DeepMarine collagen

The nutrients and fiber of pumpkin paired with everyone’s favorite spice mix. Way healthier than that extra-large pumpkin spice latte you were eyeing.

1 cup of your favorite milk or vanilla yogurt

1 Tbsp honey

1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1/4 tsp cinnamon
